“We HONOR our commitments with INTEGRITY”

How do I know my cleaning company is a green cleaning company?

Do you see HEPA vacuums with HEPA filters in them, microfiber tools and cloths?  Do you see conventional floor finish stripper, spray fragrances or pesticides in aerosol cans, or recognizable VOC-laden products?   If you see old string mops, pesticides, strong floor stripper, ammonia window cleaning, and acid bowl cleaner; it seems obvious that the competition is not as Green as they pretend. Don’t just trust what they say, we will show you everything we use before we use it. We will take our items to our estimates.

What is dust?

Dust is a combination of organic and inorganic things. Things included in there are skin cell, mites, mold spores, pet dander, bacteria, viruses, rodent waste, pollen, chemicals, medals, plant and animal parts. Almost anything really can be in dust and it should not be in your lungs. Use wet wiping or HEPA vacuums to get rid of it not just displace it.

How does Clean-O-Logy remove dust?

We use three methods, with our HEPA vacuums, water wet microfiber duster or steam. We go from top to bottom.

What are dust mites?

Dust mites are microscopic bugs, about 5,ooo fit on a head of a pin. They eat the skin in dust and they can be found nearly anywhere there is dust. The bugs themselves are not harmful, it is their protein laden feces that can cause allergies, itchy throat, watery eyes, eczema and other symptoms. We steam them dead and after to minimize this issue on your, you can use airtight coverings for the bed and pillows.

What is HEPA and why is it important?

Stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. It is a filter that filters out mites, pet dander, bacteria, pollen and other small waste. We use them in our vacuums and industrial steam machines to keep these from simply settling back into your home. We are there to remove dust not displace it and have you breathe all that gunk.

Why are doormats so important?

Doormats do not receive the attention needed. They are the first line of defense for your home or business. Enough must be available to remove impurities so that they don’t enter the property. Once the impurities make it in they destroy flooring, create dust and this leads to more costly cleaning and health issues. Commercial buildings should have at least 12’ inside and outside this allows enough steps to be taken on the mat. Check out LEED building requirements for more specifics.

What affects indoor air quality?

It is affected by many things to include formaldehyde, radon, paints, varnishes, smoke, dust, traditional household cleaners and the inability for these to escape. It is like the greenhouse effect, homes are made keep what is in, in and what is out, out. People are contained within a building or home and breathing this combination of hazards and it leads to sickness, headaches, dizziness, asthma, cancers, allergies and more. Sometimes acute and other times people develop chronic diseases. To improve quality remove dust with wet microfiber or HEPA vacuums, replace furnace filters regularly, clean your feet prior to entering, use indoor plants, avoid traditional chemical use, use air purifiers, and open windows every so often and when cleaning.

Does clean mean healthy?

You know those commercials that advertise a medication to cure X but you get YZABCDEFGF side effects? Yes you can get CLEAN but you get butyl, methyl, ethyl, benzyl, toulene, acute illness, chronic illness… THAT my friends does not equal healthy.

How do I protect myself and my family?

Here a site that evaluates different things. Look around there is a 3 sites in one for different things. http://www.ecocenter.org/healthy-stuff

Why is your service superior to others?

We are owned by a military veteran that understands that failure is not an option. He maintains high standards but is very generous with employees which he believes is the foundation to all great businesses. Our employees are well compensated and invested in our company, therefore, motivated to see Clean-O-Logy succeed.

Why do you use concentrated Eco-friendly products?

The Eco-friendly part is obvious, we really care for you and our environment! Concentrated because it uses less fuel to get these products because we purchase them less frequently. Ready to use (RTU) is mostly water and therefore we would go through more bottles. It’s about reducing our environmental impact people J.

How many different chemicals do you use?

This is a multi-answer question. For daily home cleaning we would only need to use one, maaaybe two in a couple instances. Commercial everyday cleaning also the same. For floor finishing we use only water and on occasions when it’s reeeaaally bad we will use an Eco-floor stripper, diluted of course. There maybe also an instance where something else may be needed but it does not happen often, in any case we use Eco-friendly products. We can provide an Safety Data Sheet SDS for these as well when you send an estimate request. Oh, I almost forgot, water.

Do your cleaning products work?

We would not be in business using them if they did not. We have let go of the mentality that green does not work or that a cleaner has to burn your nose and eyes to know that it works. Technology for cleaning materials is waaay better than it has been and when it gets better than now, we will grab it as well.

What is Green Seal and Ecologo?

Who do you hire?

All our employees have legal rights to work in the US. They must also be customer friendly and willing to assimilate the company vision and policies. Yes, we have policies (that are enforced) which every employee will follow and this assures an employee acts professionally.

Does your quality of work diminish over time?

Absolutely not! We do not allow it, this is why we make sure that we charge the adequate price from the beginning.
